I know what it feels like to be surrounded by English—and not understand a word.
When I moved from Venezuela to Palo Alto as a teenager, I had to start from scratch—learning English as a high school student. I had studied what I could back home, but real progress came from trial and error: observing, listening, and doing my best to keep up.
That experience taught me something powerful: fluency isn’t just about grammar or vocabulary—it’s about confidence, strategy, and finding your voice with purpose. That insight opened the door to everything that followed.
After returning to Venezuela, I began teaching English in schools and private sessions. Over more than a decade, I learned how people really acquire a language—and how much more effective it is to focus on communication than grammar drills. That hands-on journey shaped the foundation of what would eventually become English-On Purpose—an idea that began taking shape in 2016 and became a reality in 2021.
Along the way, I became a Certified Translator and began working in bilingual settings, which eventually led me to support others in high-stakes moments like USCIS interviews.
I also studied Positive Psychology, which now helps me guide clients through the mindset challenges that come with language learning—like fear, self-doubt, or performance anxiety. I use those tools to help people speak with clarity, not perfection.
Today, through English-On Purpose, I coach professionals and entrepreneurs to prepare for real communication moments—interviews, presentations, appointments, and daily life—so they can overcome barriers and speak with confidence.
